OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Hundreds of thousands of Ukrainian refugees across the nation and in Nebraska are in limbo as President Trump said he will soon decide if he will revoke their temporary legal status.

It’s part of a push to step up his mass deportation plan.

For hundreds of immigrant families, temporary protected status, or TPS, is a lifesaver. It lets those from countries that experienced war, natural disasters or other conditions to remain and work in the United States.

However, attorneys with a Lincoln Polaris law group told First Alert 6 that under the current administration, TPS is being threatened and it’s leaving many uncertain about their legal status.
